JAMMU, Jammu and Kashmir—Bhog and Antim Ardas of Shaheed Bhai Jashjit Singh Jammu who attained martyrdom on June 4 during a peaceful protest against Indian security forces, will be held on June 13 at his native village Chohala, Tehsil RS Pura (district Jammu).
Bhai Jashjit Singh was among Sikhs youth who were protesting against Indian Police’s move of removing portrait of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Bhai Jashjit Singh and others were demanding rigid action against the culprits who committed disrespect of the great Sikh martyr of 20th century. Although the protest was peaceful, the Police ordered firing on the protesting Sikh youth.
Editor’s Note: Following rich Sikh tradition, Bhai Jashjit Singh did not care for his life and attained martyrdom for maintaining respect for Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. Sikhs should pay tribute to him attending his Antim Ardas Samagam at his village.

Shame on India for firing on peaceful demonstrators and killing an innocent Sikh brother.
Unfortunately, this is a routine situation in the so-called “world’s largest democracy” Hindoostan. Sikhs are systematically targeted and killed even during peaceful protests.
Sadly, nothing will happen to the thug police office who shot him.
