Police: Shooting at Richmond Gurdwara Does Not Pose a Threat To The Public

Stephanie Ashton has�said the shooting�that took place last night does not pose a threat to the Gurdwara congregation and the general public. �In a statement, she said,��We have no reason to believe the public is at further risk as a result of this targeted incident. �At this time, there appears to be no connection between the Sikh temple and the location of the murder.�

Gurdwara Nanaksar (Richmond) where the incident took place yesterday at 9:30 PM had services going at the time of the shooting. �Sangat was not hurt in the shooting and police is still trying to figure out what�Edwin Shek-Yin Cheng (42), was doing inside the Gurdwara parking when he was shot.

Sgt. Ashton said that the police are still investigating the incident.

The incident took place just before 9:30 p.m. at the Nanaksar Gurdwara Gursikh Temple located at 18691 Westminster Hwy, Richmond, BC, Canada.
