AMRITSAR SAHIB—Bagicha Singh, a Sikh humanitarian and social rights activist has installed large boards with pictures of Shaheed Singhs, including Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale. He asked other Sikhs to do the same across Punjab in order to give a fitting response to the Shiv Sena and other organizations who are against Sikhs commemorating the 1984 Sikh genocide martyrs.
“This is to tell anti-Sikh people how much we love Sant Bhindranwale! For this reason, O courageous brothers, install banners of Sant Ji. Let’s remember the Sikh martyrs and arrive in Amritsar on June 6.”
Bagicha Singh who was recently released by the Punjab Government has suffered much from the state oppression. However, he is now working on various humanitarian aid projects. Bagicha Singh was one of the first volunteers to reach Nepal. He worked hard to reach remote areas and provided relief items to the displaced Nepalese.
