CHANDIGARH, Punjab—To commemorate 350th Foundation of Sri Anandpur Sahib from June 17 to June 19, apex committee was constituted today by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal. The committee will have power to implement the decisions taken by the organising committee.

The Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Principal Secretary to Deputy Chief Minister have been included in the committee as per press release issued by Punjab Relation Deptt.

The organizing committee includes Sukhbir Badal, BJP state unit President Kamal Sharma, Leader of Opposition in Punjab Vidhan Sabha Sunil Jakhar, Speaker Punjab Vidhan Sabha Charanjit Singh Atwal, among others.

A meeting was held in this regard. The CM, in the meeting, directed the top officials to make sure the commemoration of 350th year of Sri Anandpur Sahib in a befitting manner to showcase the glorious legacy of Sikh Panth not only at the India level but across the globe.

Cabinet Ministers Sohan Singh Thandal, Daljeet Singh Cheema and Madan Mohan Mittal, Lok Sabha MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, Rajya Sabha Member Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, President SGPC Avtar Singh Makkar were among prominent who attended the meeting.

It is worth mentioning that controversial Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be chief guest at the event on June 19. Badal invited him few days ago at New Delhi and latter accepted the invitation.
