LUDHIANA, Punjab—Following the arrest of Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa yesterday night, the sangarsh committee formed earlier by Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa will be meeting today to discuss further course of action.
Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa was forcibly taken to the Ludhiana Civil Hospital at 7:30 PM. After a check up, he was then transferred to Hero DMC Heart Institute in Ludhiana. Bapu Ji is continuing the struggle despite facing many hardships to his health. He continued to remain adamant about his demands and has pledged to continue peaceful protest until Sikh political prisoners who have completed their terms are not released.
Before his arrest, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa told his supporters to not act with violence. He asked Sikh Sangat to remain peaceful and continue the struggle to seek release of Sikh political prisoners.
Jathedar Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala (Damdami Taksal) informed the Sikh Sangat that Bapu Ji has been detained forcibly against his will. However, he also appealed on behalf of Bapu Surat Singh asking all supporters to act peacefully.
