Chabeel is a sweet, cool non-alcoholic drink�served by Sikhs to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs. �
June is one of the hottest months in India, and Sikhs all over the country are seen distributing free chabeel drinks as an act of service. �Drinks are served to all, irrespective of their religious background.
Serving of ‘chabeel’ also represents the idea of��Chardi Kala� (Eternal Optimism)�in the Sikh community.
