:dateline:After the visit of former Aam Aadmi Party leader and noted social activist Yogendra Yadav, Jassi Jasraj has too met with Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa. �Jassi Jasraj was the Aam Aadmi Party candidate from Bathinda. �He visited Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa to inquire about his health and get information on his struggle.
Jassi Jasraj was accompanied by number of his supporters. �Jasraj inquired about health condition of Bapu Surat Singh and discussed the issue of Sikh prisoners with him. �A number of other Sikh leaders were also present at Hassanpur.
Talking to media persons, he said that political prisoners belong deserved for release irrespective of their caste, sect or religion and struggle initiated for their release was not only concerned with any particular area or Panth, but it is concerned with entire country. He said violation of human rights is not limited to Punjab only, but it prevailed in other states too where such political prisoners had completed their terms but government did not release them.
He alleged that Punjab government is arrogant, blind and deaf and ray of hope is very dim here.
Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party MP from Sangrur promised to raise the issue of Sikh political prisoners in Lok Sabha.
