ROPAR, Punjab—‘Team Insaaf’ head and MLA Simrajit Singh Bains who is running ‘Satyagreh’ drive in Punjab against illegal mining mafia, has announced to form new political party in the state to offer political alternative to people.
They made the announcement during his visit to Ropar’s court complex where he met noted RTI activist advocate Denesh Chadda who is also struggling against illegal mining. He was accompanied by his number of supporters.
Talking to media persons here, Simarjit Bains said that Mafia rules in Punjab nowdays and law and order becomes ineffective. He said that Congress has not succeeded in competing with SAD-BJP government in spite of having 43 seats in Punjab legislative assembly, whereas People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) led by Manpreet Badal had become unstable. “So, we have decided to launch new political party that would contest all 117 seats in upcoming provincial election of 2017”, he said, adding that “The proposed party would form alliance with other like-minded political parties such as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).”
Mr. Bains also sought probe into the horrible Orbit Bus incident took place near Moga. He lauded Chadda for initiated struggle against illegal mining.
It is noteworthy that the team launched drive against illegal mining mafia under the slogan of ‘Satyagreh’. I wake of the drive, Bains arrived here and will visit Pathankot and Nawanshehar in coming days.
It may be just the right time to KICK START a NEW PARTY with a name like “SIKH KHALSA PANTH ” [International].
