:dateline:BJP has again given indication to contest forthcoming Punjab assembly elections of 2017 on its own, parting ways with Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). Addressing senior party leaders�at Ranjit Avenue here, BJP chief Amit Shah today claimed that the party was now able to contest all 117 assembly seats in Punjab.
Justifying his claim, he said that Party�s membership had risen to 23,000,00 in Punjab. He said its base had spread to all cities, towns and villages of the state and it was no longer restrained�to contest only three Lok Sabha seats�in Punjab.
�Although I visited Sri Darbar Sahib first time after becoming president of the party, I have in past�paid�visits here earlier. �Every time I get new conscience after paying obeisance at Sri Harmandar Sahib and tribute to martyrs of Jalianwala Bagh,� he added.
