A large scale meeting was also held today at Bapu Ji’s residence in Hassanpur, Ludhiana, which was attended by a number of Sikh leaders.  In the meeting, varous individuals shared their views on the current struggle.  Speakers included Surinder Singh Thikriwala, Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, Dhyan Singh Mand and former IAS Swarn Singh.

“I don’t have any complaint regarding Parkash Badal as his (lack of) stand on Panthik issues is clear,” said Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa before the meeting.  He added, “I do feel that Mehta, Chawla, Valtoha Grewal and other Taksalis who used to be close to Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale are now totally ignoring Sikh issues.”

He said that even the leaders of Sant Bhindranwala’s faction are not engaged in Sikh issues anymore.
