TARN TARAN SAHIB, Punjab—Sikh Youth Front with assistance of Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala (Amritsar) is going to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sakhira at his village Sakhira near Tarn Taran Sahib on May 4, 2015. Bhai Sakhira role was imminent in bringing the Sikh struggle to its peak after the holocaust of 1984.
Bhai Sukhjit Singh Khela (Senior Vice President of Sikh Youth Front) said that Sikh Nation can never repay for the sacrifices made by Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sakhira. “Shaheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sakhira was a precious diamond of the Sikh Nation” he said. Recalling the day of his martyrdom, Bhai Khela said that tears came in the eyes of Baba Joginder Singh Rode when he was informed about the martyrdom of Bhai Sakhira.
Dr. Gurjinder Singh (President, Sikh Youth Federation Bhindranwala Amritsar) said that observing martyrdom anniversaries of Sikh freedom fighters is the duty of all Sikhs.
General Secretary of Sikh Youth Front Bhai Papalpreet Singh said that Sikh Nation can never forget the sacrifice of Bhai Sakhira. “Bhai Sukhdev Singh Sakhira is a shining star of Sikh history and an ideal for Sikh Youth,” he added.
