�Nanak Shah Fakir� Movie: Court Seeks Clarification from Film Team, Censor Board, Home Ministry, Punjab Govt

:dateline:Acting upon the petition filed by Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) activists against the controversial movie ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’, local court has directed film team, Censor board, ministry of home affairs and Punjab government to submit their replies on the matter by April 13.

SSF (M) Bathinda unit president Paranjit Singh Jaggi, Surinder Singh Nathana, Kulvir Singh and Kuldev Singh appeared before the court of civil judge manpreet Kaur through their legal counsel Advocate Charanpal Singh Brar. On behalf of the government, Gursewak Singh clerk deputy commissioner appeared in the court.�

Talking to media persons, Paranjit Singh Jaggi said that presenting Guru Nanak Sahib as a character is against Sikh principles which left Sikh sentiments injured. Sikhs across the world are opposing the film and demanding ban its screening.
