Dhuri elections will bea close contest between S. Surjit Singh Kalabula of Akali Dal (Amritsar) and Gobind Singh Longowal of Akali Dal (Badal). These elections are importantas the outcome might give Akali Dal (B) a majority in Punjab, without inclusion of BJP seats.
