Bhai Jarnail Singh (AAP) Raises 1984 Sikh Genocide Issue in Delhi Assembly

NEW DELHI—Former journalist and Delhi MLA Bhai Jarnail Singh stated that he raised the issue of 1984 Sikh genocide in today’s session of Delhi Assembly.

Bhai Jarnail Singh has spoken about 1984 Sikh genocide several times in past.  In 2009, he hurled a shoe at the then Union Home Minister, P. Chidambaram to protest against lack of action in 1984 Sikh genocide cases.  By throwing the shoe, not only did Jarnail Singh shot into the limelight, he also brought the spotlight back on the 1984 anti-Sikh pogrom cases.

In today’s session, along with condemning the 1984 Sikh genocide, Jarnail Singh also protested against against the CBI’s clean chit to senior Congress leader Jagdeesh Tytler.

He asked Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to take whatever possible action Delhi Government can take on these issues.
