:dateline:A direct rail connecting�Takht Sri Keshgarh Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib was introduced today.�
The new train was flagged off by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal jointly. �Suresh Prabhu stated that he is working with the Punjab Government to connect more religious places in Punjab and in other states. �He said that the train linking Anandpur Sahib with Amritsar was a long pending demand of the Sikh community. �
Prabhu�added that the train will start running�regularly from Vaisakhi�this year. �He stated that the new train will have air-conditioned cabins and general class accommodations.
The new train will start from the Nangal Dam, located about 19 kms�from Anandpur Sahib, and have stops at Kurali, Morinda, Samrala, Ludhiana and Jalandhar.�
