Hunger Strike by Aam Aadmi Party Against Land Acquisition Bill

AAP:dateline:Aam Aadmi Party�leadership of Punjab today held hunger strike for 24 hours in Rally Ground of Sector-25 of Chandigarh under leadership of State Convener Sucha Singh Chottepur. This�hunger strike was held against Land Acquiring Bill of Indian Government. Sucha Singh Chottepur said that�this Bill will not only harm the farmers, but the whole country.

Leaders of AAP, including S. HS�Phoolka, Dr. Harkesh Singh Sidhu, Dr. Amandeep Kaur Sangrur, H.S Kingra, Dr. Balbir Singh, Dr. A.S Mann and others demanded that the farmers should be given 50% plus production cost of a crop as suggested by the Swami Nathan Commission. More than two dozens of party workers held hunger strike against this Bill.

It is noteworthy that the BJP Government of India has brought forward a new bill following which a government can acquire land of any farmer against their will. This bill has so far received�huge criticism across the�country.
