:dateline:Contrary to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) which released Bikrami Calendar entitled �Nanakshahi’ Calendar, Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) on Saturday released original Nanakshahi Calendar at Gurdwara Nanakana Sahib, birth place of Guru Nanak Sahib.
A religious function was held here to celebrate the Sikh New Year and to release the Sikh Calendar. Number of copies of the Calendar was distributed among Sikh devotees.
As per information shared by PSGPC member Manjinder Singh, after the congregation, sports competitions were also held on ground of Nanakana Sahib and winners were honoured by PSGPC president Baba Sham Singh, member Gopal Singh Chawla etc.
It is worth mentioning that the SGPC has released Bikrami Calendar labeling it as �Nanakshahi Calendar�. �Various Sikh organizations have condemned by the SGPC and termed it as a fraud as the calendar was released without taking entire Sikh Nation into confidence.
