Haryana Government Seeks “Equal Water Rights”

SYL:dateline:During a press conference, Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar once again brought up the�issue of the�Satluj-Yamuna Link Canal. �He stated that when passing the decision on Punjab’s waters, the Supreme Court had�not considered the Riparian Law in its decision. �He said that the Haryana Government will continue fighting for this case. �

“Haryana�government is demanding Satluj-Yamuna Link Canal on the basis of this issue and Haryana should be provided water that it deserves,” he added. �He expressed hope that the decision of Supreme Court will get implemented in Haryana.

Talking about the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee, he said that this issue is in Supreme Court and the Government will approve the decision of court. He refused to comment on the demand of Parkash Badal to terminate the Haryana Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhik Committee.
