NEW DELHI, India—Manjit Singh GK and Manjinder Singh Sirsa were today re-elected as president and general secretary of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC). This will be their second term as DSGMC members after they defeated Paramjit Sarna’s faction.
Mohinderpal Chadha was elected as senior vice-president, Satpal Singh as junior vice president and Amarjit Singh Pappu as joint secretary.
The decision to re-elect the the executive board was taken by the general house, and 45 out of its 49 members voted in favor of Manjit Singh GK and only 4 voted for Bibi Daljit Kaur Khalsa. It’s also important to note that 5 of 8 members with proximity with Sarna voted in favor of Manjit Singh GK.
Three of five Takht Jathedars, namely Giani Gurbachan Singh, Giani Mal Singh and Giani Iqbal Singh presented siropas to DSGMC members.
