:dateline:A fire at Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Gurdwara in Rosebery Street, Leicester, was handled by fire crews. �The fire was reported at 11:15 am earlier today.
Due to the weekend services, hundreds of devotees were present inside and had to be�evacuated.
Sevadars�thanked�the Leicester Fire and Rescue Service for their prompt response to the fire earlier today.
“All Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s�Saroops (Sikh scripture treated as our living Guru) are safe,” they stated. �”The fire damage is not as bad as feared and no one was hurt. The situation is also not being treated as suspicious.”
