Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa said that his struggle is for a Sikh cause, and that he is not seeking any personal attention or fame.  Replying to a question of suspicion about leaving struggle, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa said that he is struggling for the Sikh nation from his childhood, and today at the age of 82, he is still firm about his decision. He promised that he will not eat anything till the release of Sikh political prisoners.

Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa said that the current radical Hindu government is eager to merge Sikhs into Hinduism. That is why the government is using every possible strategy to suppress the voice of Sikhs. “Not only Sikhs, instead all the minorities residing in India feel insecure in India”, he added.

Talking about the current Akali Government of Punjab, Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa said that Parkash Badal is the biggest enemy of Sikh nation. He said that during the Darbar Sahib invasion by Indian army, Badal appealed the Sikh Soldiers of Indian Army to leave the infantries for the cause of Sikh nation and they did so. But he has never provided any benefit to those sentimental soldiers who left their jobs on his appeal.
