:dateline:Led by Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president Simranjit Singh Mann, Sikhs celebrated 68th birthday of Shaheed Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale on large scale here. An impressive religious function was held to observe the day. Great number of Sikh devotees attended the function and paid homage to the great martyr who sacrificed his life for the freedom of his nation.
Addressing the gathering, Simranjit Singh Mann said that Sant Bhindranwale has laid foundation of sovereign Sikh state named �Khalistan� under which all sections of society will have rights of equality.
Other Party leaders also addressed the attendees�and shared examples from the live of Sant Bhindranwale.
