:dateline:After keeping him under its remand for 4 days, Bathinda Police on Friday, presented Babbar Khalsa fighter Bhai Jagtar Singh Tara before the court of chief judicial magistrate Raman Kumar.
Bhai Tara is facing life imprisonment in case of assassination of former Punjab Chief minister Beant “Singh” who killed thousands of Sikh youth in cold blood.
The police sought another 4-day more remand for further investigations, but when Bhai Tara�s legal counsel Advocate Harpal Singh Khaira put strong argument opposing the remand, court turned down Police demand, granting only 2-day remand instead.
Heavy security arrangements were made by the police in Court complex. Even media persons were not allowed to meet Bhai Tara.
Along with his aides and party members, Akali Dal (Panch Pardhani) leader Baba Hardeep Singh Gurusar Mehraj and Akali Dal (Amritsar) district president Paminder Singh Baleanwal were gathered in court complex. They raised slogans of �Khalistan Zindabad�.
Later after the court hearing, Advocate Khaira told Sikh24 that Police had demanded 4-day remand citing that it has arrested Amarjit Singh from Ropar, who has been alleged to transfer money in account of Ramandeep Singh Sunny and it was to do further investigation in this regard.
