NEW DELHI—Vikram Singh Dhanaula who was on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar has ended his hunger strike after 65 days. He was visited by a number of AAP leaders over the course of past two days, including Bhai Baldeep Singh, Jarnail Singh (MLA Tilak Nagar), Madan Lal (MLA Kasturba Nagar), HS Phoolka and Somnath Bharti (MLA Malviya Nagar). In his written assurance, Arvind Kejriwal has promised to work on a Special Investigation Team that will look into the 1984 Sikh Genocide cases.
Bhai Baldeep Singh stated, “Today the designate Delhi-CM, Arvind Kejriwal’s office gave the sought assurances to Vikram Singh Dhanaula via me, Bhai Baldeep Singh, and via newly elected Malviya Nagar MLA, Somnath Bharti, in writing that the designate Delhi Government upon taking charge of the administration will work hard to get the 1984 Anti-Sikh carnage guilty punished.”
Bhai Iqbal Singh Bhatti who had also campaigned at Jantar Mantar last year for the same cause was also present when the hunger strike was concluded. Along with him, Parminder Singh of Sikh Relief, Mahinder Pal Singh Dangarh, Baljit Singh Bablu, Guraman Singh Khalsa, Vikram Singh’s wife and others were present.
