:dateline:Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) is going to hold a district wide protest against Article 25 (B) of the Indian Constitution which depicts Sikhism�to be�a part of Hinduism. Deputy Commissioners of all districts will be given a memorandum to terminate Article 25 (B) of the Indian Constitution by this Sikh body. �
President of Sikh Students Federation (Mehta) Bhai Paramjit Singh Khalsa informed about this in a meeting of District Presidents and members of the working committee of�theFederation. Bhai Khalsa said while addressing the gathering at the Press Club of Amritsar that fanatic Hindu elements registered the Sikh community as a part of Hinduism while writing the Indian Constitution after freedom in 1947. He said that the fanatic Hindu powers remain eager to merge Sikhism into Hinduism. He said that India is a country of multi religious and multi cultural people. But the Indian Government is imposing the Bhagawad Geeta in the syllabus from primary school to university. “SSF (Mehta) will never tolerate such a fanatic decision of the Government,” he added.
While talking about drugs in Punjab, Bhai Khalsa said that Governments should invent some solid solution to finish drugs in Punjab instead of doing politics on this issue. Bhai Khalsa said that Sikhs in foreign countries are fighting for the identity of the turban, but the incidents of disrespect to the turban in Punjab are growing. He demanded from the Punjab Government that disrespect of the�turban in police sations of Punjab should be stopped at a higher priority.
General Secretary of Federation Bhai Major Singh Khalsa said that the federation is taking an initiative to build new units in schools, colleges and universities, so that the literate generation of the Sikh nation could be aware about the partiality being faced by the Sikh community in India.�
