

:dateline:Newly formed Panthik Talmel Dal (PTD) has given a�call to the�Khalsa Panth not to recognize SGPC�s decision of sacking Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Balwant Singh Nandgarh.
In a press release issued here, PTD leaders said until norms for selection of Takht Jathedars as per Panthik aspirations are not restored, the decisions should not be recognized.
It says that the appeal was made in a meeting of PTD held at Gurdwara Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib, Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar here, which was attended by Takht Sri Damdama Sahib former Jathedar Giani Kewal Singh, Sri Darbar Sahib former Granthi Giani Jagtar Singh Jachak, Gurpreet Singh Kendri Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Hardeep Singh member SGPC, Kirpal Singh Bathinda and representatives of Ek Noor Khalsa Fauj, Sikh Missionary College Ludhiana, Shubh Karman Society and Satkar Sabha, Akal Purakh Ki Fauj, Gurmat Gian Missionary College, Kes Sambhal Parchar Sanstha, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Missionary College, Singh Sabha Rajput Nagar Ludhiana, Gursikh Family Club, Sukhmani Sahib Sewa Societies etc.
In another resolution passed in the meeting, it was decided to unite Sikh sections who are dedicated to sovereignty of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and Sikh Rehat Maryada accepted by the Panth. It was also felt that SGPC and other Sikh institutions should be free from factionalism.
Sikh leaders vowed to make efforts to fix problems faced by Sikhs and ensure Panthik unity. They said movements like the Singh Sabha movement would be initiated soon.
