:dateline:Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsas press secretary Bhai Gurpreet Singh Guri has clarified that Bhai Khalsa was not willing to take medical treatment but police forcibly took Bhai Khalsa to hospital following the advice of doctors. The doctors warned if Bhai would not be admitted to hospital, he would go into a state of unconsciousness.

Guri clarified that police pressurized Bhai Khalsas son Jujhar Singh and under the pressure thelatter gave the statement in front of media that it was Bhai Khalsas decision to be admitted. He said police has been pressurizing him for the last 15 days to go to hospital but Bhai Khalsa had been rejecting their advice. When they failed to conciliate him, they picked him up against his will.

On Saturday, a doctor came for a medical checkup of Bhai Khalsa and asked oxygen was given to him. Just after half an hour another team of doctors arrived who said that Bhai Khalsa had to be admitted to hospital. Sikh sangat present there opposed the decision of doctors but police administration was firm on thedecision. On the other hand, Bhai Khalsa also did not want to go to hospital. When police did not leave its stand, sangat put the condition before administration in thepresence of media persons that another Sikh Gurpyar Singh would sit on a fast and if police would not bring Bhai Khalsa back to Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib within five days, Gurpyar Singh would shun even water. The police made assurances to fulfill the condition. Then police took Bhai Khalsa to hospital, he explained.
