His body was cremated at crematorium of Chattiwind according to Sikh traditions. Thousands of Singhs and Singhnis of Akhand Kirtani Jatha gave departure to their loved one while singing gurbani loudly. The Akhand Kirtani Jatha started kirtan after his passing at his residence in Amritsar Sahib.
Sikh24 has posted a video from the funeral:
Bhai Jeevan Singh was one the Panth’s jewels who was the image of humility and saintliness. Bhai Sahib’s life was devoted to the seva of the Panth and humanity. He has served as the Head Granthi at Takhat Sri Patna Sahib, and various other gurdwaras around the world. He has done kirtan seva with the Akhand Kirtani Jatha for decades. Since 1977, Bhai Sahib has toured different countries to spread Gurmat (the Guru’s teachings) and has inspired countless to become the Sikhs of the Guru through his exemplary character and behaviour. For the last couple of years, with old age and ill-health, Bhai Sahib was not able to travel and was very frail. He spent his days near Darbar Sahib, listening to patt and doing naam simran.
