:dateline:The martyrdom anniversary of former Jathedar of Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaonke, was observed with devotion and respect by his family in village Kaonke Kalan. Prominent Sikh personalities attended this anniversary to pay homage to the sacrifice of Shaheed Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaonke. Sant Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma and Jathedar Jasbir Singh Rode visited Kaonke�s family to give tribute to Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaonke. They said on this occasion that the Sikh community can never forget the contribution of Jathedar Kaonke for the well being of Sikhism. Both of them said that Damdami Taksal and Sant Samaj are always committed to honor the martyrs of the current Sikh struggle. Sikh personalities demanded the Government to arrest the accused murderers Jathedar Kaonke. The family of Jathedar Kaonke�were honored by these Sikh personalities.

It is notable that Akali Dal (Badal) is responsible for defending the murderers of Jathedar Kaonke. Agitations to punish the murderers of Jathedar Kaonke were started too many times, but none of these succeeded.
