Bhai Gubaksh Singh Khalsa in Critical Condition as Hunger Strike Enters 50th Day

:dateline:The health condition of Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa is in an alarming state. Despite the appeals being made by doctors and administration, Bhai Khalsa has refused to go to hospital.

As per information shared by Bhai Khalsa�s press secretary Bhai Gurpreet Singh Guri, Bhai Khalsa has already announced to shun drinking water from January 3 and he is firm on his words whereas sangat asked him not to do so.

Today, Bhai Khalsa�s hunger strike entered the�49th day and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and member of parliament Bhagwant Mann arrived at Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib where the strike is being observed to meet Bhai Khalsa. Mann said he wanted Bhai Khalsa to�launch the struggle in Punjab and he promised to help him by ever possible means. He said every peace loving person should back Bhai Khalsa as his struggle is against the violation of human rights.

Meanwhile, administration is again threatening the management committee of Gurdwara Lakhnaur Sahib for accommodating Bhai Khalsa. SHO of Sadar police station of Amabala has reportedly asked management committee president Niranjan Singh to appear before the deputy commissioner. Niranjan Singh sent Gurdwara manager Samsher Singh to DC office where he was threatened by DC, SSP. These officers threatened that if they would not stop accommodating Bhai Khalsa, members of committee would be sent to jail.

However, Niranjan Singh asserted that he was ready to face jail but would not stop supporting Bhai Khalsa in�this cause. He said some mischievous elements are active in spreading rumors to disturb the environment but Bhai Khalsa�s struggle is purely peaceful. He said the demands of Bhai Khalsa are legitimate and administration should pay attention to these demands.

Sikh preacher Sarbjit Singh Dhunda and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib fomer Jathedar Giani Kewal Singh met Bhai Khalsa and appealed to the�people to support him. Large numbers of�Sikhs led by Jathedar Mehal Singh from Daba (Ludhiana) visited there to show solidarity with Bhai Khalsa.
