AJNALA, India—Sikh Students Federation (Mehta), Sikhi Parchar Sewa Society and the Management Committee of Gurdwara Shaheedan wala Khooh jointly protested against the movie ‘Massenger of God’ which is being produced by the chief of Sirsa cult Ram Rahim. The Sikh bodies burnt the effigy of the cult chief in the centre of Ajnala town.
Members of Society S. Manjit Singh Bath, President Narinderpal Singh Dhillon, Amarjit Singh Sarkaria, Kabal Singh Shahpur and Baba Kabal Singh Lakhuwal said that the Sikh community will never tolerate such a false preachment under the name of God. They said that the chief of Sirsa cult is a criminal and various cases of rape and murder have been filed against him. They explained that Sri Akal Takht Sahib has also banned the preachment of this cult.
They said that whenever movies related to the Sikh religion are launched in the market, the Indian Government quickly bans these movies by marking them as communal. But now the Indian Government seems to be favoring this movie, as the advertisement of this movie is being broadcasted on different channels. They demanded the Indian Government to ban this movie as soon as possible. Otherwise this movie might poison the environment of Punjab, as the chief of Sirsa cult is notoriously famous for instigating the religious sentiments of Sikhs.
They warned the Indian Government that if it will not ban this movie, they will strictly oppose it and will never let it be broadcast in the cinemas of Punjab. S. Sukhchain Singh, Jugraj Singh Riar, Babbu Mahajan, Gujitpal Singh Dhillon, Dilbag Singh Mautla, Paramjit Singh Panjgarayian, Balraj Singh Bajwa, Bharpoor Singh Fattewal, Jaspal Singh, Harminder Singh Sarkaria, Balwinder Singh Navein Saran, Gurchet Singh, Dalwinder Singh Umarpura and Sukha Singh Wanjha Wala etc. were present on this occasion.
