Talking about Nanakshahi Calender, he said, “Decision of implementing amended Nanakshahi Calendar was not taken by all five Jathedars, but taken by only two Jathedars. So we will recognize theĀ original Calender.”

He clarified that it was not a violation of edict of Akal Takht Sahib, but the decision of Sikhs across the world. He said almost all Sikhs in the country wanted to implement original Nanakshahi Calendar.
