Majithia Again Hurt Sikh Sentiments by Distorting �Gurvak� in Punjab Assembly

Majithia new:dateline:Senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader and Punjab revenue minister Bikram Majithia has again hurt religious sentiments by distorting �Gurwak� related to Guru Gobind Singh Ji�in a�Punjab assembly session.

Majithia added himself in �Swa Lakh Se Ek ladaun Tbe Gobind Singh Naam Kahaun� as �Gobind Singh ka Sikh�. Majithia did so while giving an explanation about the allegations leveled against him in the case of drug trading following which Majithia faced big embarrassment in the house.

Opposition started raising slogans against him. Punjab Congress president Partap Singh Bajwa and leader of opposition Sunil Jakhar demanded strong action against Majithia for hurting religious sentiments of the community.

Partap Singh Bajwa has appealed Akal Takht Sahib to take rigid action against Majithia for this act. He even demanded Majithia be expelled from the Sikh Panth.

Prior to this, Majithia hurt Sikh sentiments by distorting the�Bani of Guru Gobind Singh in an election meeting held in Amritsar in support of BJP leader Arun Jaitly. He was summoned by Sri Akal Takht Sahib in this matter�who granted religious punishment to Majithia.

Speakers of assembly say that the words uttered by Majithia in this regard have been disowned. Jakhar, however, claimed that the statement of Majithia has not been disowned.

On the other hand, BJP leader Navjot Sidhu is facing the anger of Sikh Sangat for relating the Bani of Guru Arjan Dev Ji to Arjuna, a character of a Hindu epic �Mahabharat�. He has to send a written apology to Sri Akal Takht Sahib. �
