Please Sign Petition: Sikhs Are Not a Sect of Hindus As per Indian Constitution

WASHINGTON DC, USA—Sikhs for Justice, a US based organization has launched a petition to President Obama asking him to question Indian Prime Minister why Indian Constitution continues to label the Sikhs as a sect of Hindus.

The process to sign the petition is quite simple –

  2. Put in your First & Last Name and a valid Email Address and click on SIGN NOW button
  3. Open your email and click the link sent by the white House. Clicking the link will automatically verify your signature.

For the petition to be considered by the White House, Sikhs for Justice needs 100,000 signatures by December 31.

  10. Sikhs are not hindu because our First Guru is guru Nanak Dev ji to Tenth Guru condition for hairs (not Cut ). Our rules are different to hindu.

  93. Sikhism came out of hinduism but it is not sect but a religion.We have our distinct language culture customs and for referance we have our Guru Granth Sahib ji.We dont need any hindu reference book or custom.Our gurus taught us equality and gave us a distinct religion.

  201. sikhs r not hindus they r sons of ten gurus of sikh religion.they r friends of all world. they do not do havans nd moorti pooja.they chant only the name of Nirankar Vaheguru.

    Sikhs do not pray to any devi, devtaas nor they bow at grave yards Their path is by taking Amrit wearing 5 symbols of faith abstain 4 things :
    1: Never have sexual relationship with any one except your spouse. Consider younger ladies as daughters, elder ladies as mothers and same age ladies as sisters
    2: Never consume alcohol or any drugs
    3: Never kill any animal for eating purpose
    4: Never cut any hair from head to tip of yr foot. ‘remain in the original form as created by God WAHEGURU who is called by many names
    Sikhs now e in love for God and humanity and in every day prayers ask for the welfare for all not limited to Sikhs Sikh means who follow these rules and get all his divine knowledge from Guru Granth Sahib and always ready to learn He does services for humanity but being a Sikh The disciple of True creator
