Shaheed Bhai Jugraj Singh Toofan is still respected as a saviour in the Hindu brotherhood
JALANDHAR, Punjab—Royal Films UK is going to produce a new movie Toofan Singh based on the subject of Hindu-Sikh Brotherhood. The main character of the movie is motivated from the life of Shaheed Bhai Jugraj Singh Toofan. In this movie, a brief portrait of the circumstances of the past will be depicted that how the Hindu Community was leaving Punjab during the time of the Sikh Freedom Movement and how a brave Sikh freedom fighter, Jugraj Singh Toofan came forward to protect them. This information was given to reporters by Royal Films UK and the family members of Jugraj Singh Toofan. They said that though Bhai Toofan was a part of the Sikh Struggle, his role was different during the struggle as he was aware about the duties of a True Sikh.
Main Character of the film is portrayed from this aspect that when the common citizens were trying to get rid of their own shadows, how a true Sikh defended the Hindu Community. Shooting of the film will be started soon.
Baghel Singh is directing this movie, who has a lot of experience in directing short films. The story of the movie is written by Surjit Mavi and the script is jointly written by Surjit Mavi and Jaggi Kussa. Director Baghel Singh said that the work of choosing characters has been almost completed. Researchers for the movie, Baljinder Kotbhara and Amandeep Hans said that when they were researching about Bhai Jugraj Singh Toofan from all aspects, a fascinating truth affected them—the Hindu Community residing in Gurdaspur and Hargobindpur area still respect Bhai Toofan as he became their protective shield during the freedom struggle. They said that elderly Hindus still become emotional while talking about Bhai Toofan.
Bibi Amarjit Kaur (Elder Sister of Bhai Toofan), Simranjit Kaur (Daughter of Bhai Toofan) were present at the anouncement.
