TARN TARAN, Punjab—Dedicated to the holy Saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib that was burnt by the followers of Noormehal based cult, the bhog ceremony of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was held today in Jodhpur village and was attended in great numbers.

The cultists committed the disrespect of Guru Granth Sahib in Gurdwara Sahib of Jodhpur village on December 1, 2014, deeply hurting Sikh sentiments. One month ago, the cultists opened fire against Sikhs in the same village, causing serious injuries to Sikhs, including Damdami Taksal leader Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala.

Following the Bhog, Bhai Satnam Singh Koharka and Bhai Sandeep Singh, Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib, sung Gurbani Kirtan and Ardas was done by Giani Gurbachan Singh, appointed Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Later, a religious function was organized on a large scale.

Panthik Sikhs slammed the Jathedars and SAD leaders in their presence for working against the aspirations of Sikhs. They alleged on stage that the Jathedars and SGPC were reacting to the Noormehal cultists soft handedly and not acting toward shutting down the bases of the Noormehal cult in Punjab. They demanded action to be taken for sealing the cult bases and ensuring hard punishment for the accused.

He appealed Sikhs to unite under the patronage of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and face the attacks with tolerance.
