Sikh Relief Continues to Provide Aid to Flood Disaster Victims Despite Harsh Weather Conditions

JAMMU, India—Despite the harsh weather conditions, the volunteers of Sikh Relief (SOPW) have continued to provide humanitarian relief to the flood hit areas of Jammu & Kashmir.  The floods had left many families living in Kashmir without a roof over their heads.  Since September, the floods have washed away properties and businesses.

The winter in this region of India is particularly harsh and with this in mind, Sikh Relief volunteers are moving forward at speed to continue their rehabilitation projects.

Sikh Relief volunteers have been able to provide aid for those who have lost their means of earning a living and provide those who have been left without shelter to have their homes rebuilt. The floods have now been largely forgotten by the public and the media, and army have been and gone.
