AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Influence of terrorist organization Rashtria Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Sikh institutions seems to be growing day by day. Historical Sikh institution, the Chief Khalsa Diwan (CKD), has allowed the student wing of the RSS, namely the Akhil Bhartya Vidyarthi Prishad (ABVP), to hold its upcoming three days countrywide annual conference slated for Nov 14 to 16 at its facilities.
While national leaders of ABVP will be participating in the conference, many RSS leaders are most likely to be present here as well. Besides this, around 4000 students of schools and colleges across the country will attend the conference.
On condition of anonymity, a senior office bearer of Chief Khalsa Diwan told Sikh24 that the historic Sikh organization has decided to hand over its educational institutes to the organizers of the conference. He said that on one side, the organization claims to follow the Akal Takht Sahib; however, on the other side, it is violating the edict issued by the highest temporal seat of Sikhs wherein Sikhs are directed to shun any kind of association with the fascist Hindu organization.
“Chief Khalsa Diwan is primary organization of Singh Sabha Movement which was founded with motive of restraining the growing influence of Hindutva. In view of this, it is big tragedy that this organization is ignoring its basic principles and norms”, he added.
