AMRITSAR SAHIB, Punjab—Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) will organize a prayer function in the memory of those who lose their lives during the November 1984 Sikh genocide. A prayer will be performed for the high spirits of victim families and for giving punishment to the culprits of this genocide. This will be performed in Gurdwara Jhanda Bunga Sahib at 8 am of 2nd November after laying the Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib.
President of SGPC Jathedar Avtar Singh Makkar, who is currently in the USA, appealed to whole Sikh community to perform Ardas in every Gurdwara on 2nd November for the spiritual peace of departed souls, high spirits of their families and for just punishment of the perpetrators.
