Jamalpur Fake Police Encounter: Human Right Commission Ordered for Report to DGP

Jamalpura Fake EncounterLUDHIANA, Punjab—A Human Rights Commission took a strict stand by ordering DGP to present the investigation report about a fake encounter in Ahluwalia Colony of Jamalpura. The Human Right Commission questioned the DGP through a letter on what facts and in which direction the police is investigating the case. Chairman of the Commission announced that if any indiscipline is found in the Police Report, the Commission will investigate on its own level.

RTI worker of Ludhiana informed the Human Right Commission about this fake encounter. He urged the Commission to expose the faces of criminals by investigating through upper level Agency. This complaint was registered on 29 September and the Commission took quick action by ordering the DGP to present an investigation report.

It is noteworthy that three policeman killed two brothers in Jamalpur on 27th September, in a conspiracy organized by the husband of a female sarpanch of Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
