AMRITSAR SAHIB—Canadian revenue Minister Kerry Lynne D Findlay paid obeisance at Darbar Sahib along with an official of the Canadian High Commission from New Delhi. Findaly also visited the Guru Ram Dass Langar, and expressed interest in Sikh history.
The secretary of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Manjit Singh along with Daljit Singh Dedi and Mahinder Singh Ahli and others honoured the Minister with a siropa, a model of Darbar Sahib and a set of books.
Speaking to the media, Findlay mentioned that it was her first visit to Darbar Sahib and she found it very peaceful. She added that she hopes to visit again. Findlay mentioned that Sikhs make up a small part of the Canadian population but have contributed tremendously.
