LUDHIANA, Punjab—It has learnt that some unidentified elements have committed beadbi by tearing 183 Angs (pages) of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at Gurdwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha in Hario Khurd village near Samrala. The sacrilege of the Sikh Guru has deeply hurt Sikh sentiments.

The incident came to light when the Granthi of the Gurdwara Sahib was to take a Hukamanama (edict). He was shocked to see that 183 Angs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were torn from various places, and the torn Angs were roughly folded.

As per news published by Punjabi Tribune, SP (D) Khanna Satinderpal Singh, DSP Samrala Sukh Amritpal Singh and SHO Ashwani Kumar rushed to the spot. Leaders of ruling SAD have asked the police officials to trace the miscreant at the earliest. He also appealed to the Sikhs to maintain peace.

On other hand, President of the Management Committee of the Gurdwara and others have filed a complaint with the Khanna police.
