Sikh Relief UK Continues Relief Operation in Flood Hit Areas of Kashmir

Sikh reliefSRINAGAR, Kashmir—The relief operation for the victims of floods in Jammu & Kashmir continues under the direction of Balbir Singh Bains and RP Singh, representative of Sikh Relief (SOPW) UK. Chairman of “Dharam Parchaar Wing” Satnam Singh Dabrikhana is also rendering his service in the relief operation.

Bottles of mineral water, clothes, medicines and foodstuffs are being provided to the flood affected people. Pregnant women that were lacking any assistance are being treated affectionately by the volunteers of the Sikh body. Volunteers are also providing their services in performing the last rituals of the dead bodies of the victims.

It is noteworthy that Sikh organizations including Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), Khalsa Aid (KA), Sikh Relief UK (SOPW) and United Sikhs have played a major role in providing humanitarian aid to the victims of natural calamity. Even the Indian army has taken help from SGPC in the relief operation.
