3:00am is a short documentary film on meditation which has been taking place at Southall Sikh Temple (Gurdwara) for the past 22 years. With over 100 people turning up every day between the hours of 3am and 5am, it is still considered to be a hidden treasure. People from all over the world have come to see and experience the spiritual connection in these early hours. The video in no way replicates the feeling one gets when surrounded by this environment, but it does give an insight to the process by which the day starts. As well as meditation, the open kitchen (larger) is where food is made and served to anyone visiting the Gurdwara; one can be of any race, religion or social status. The kitchen is open to all- a charitable selfless service started by the Founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev Jee.
