Mumbai Sikh Presents “Chaur Sahib” Made of Gold At Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar

:dateline:Mumbai based Sikh, Bibi Surjit Kaur, on Tuesday presented a “Chaur Sahib” made of gold and embellished with diamonds at Sri Darbar Sahib.

As per information available with Sikh24.com, the “Chaur Sahib” is made of around 433 grams of 22 carat gold and has diamonds worth Rs 3.48 lakh.

Its cost stands at Rs 16.97 lakh. Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh, head Granthi of Sri Darbar Sahib received the “Chaur Sahib” from her and presented her a “siropa.”

This is not the first time that she has made such a precious offering at the holiest Sikh shrine. She had earlier presented silver doors as well as the engravings in gold, “Dhan Dhan Ramdas Gur Jin Sereya Tine Sawareya,” atop Darshani Deodhi at Sri Darbar Sahib.
