HS Phoolka Writes To Human Rights Commission Seeking Justice For Vikram Singh

:dateline:Senior leader of Aam Aadmi Party Advocate HS Phoolka has written a letter to the Chairman of National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) alleging that the detention of Vikram Singh amounted to a clear violation of the human rights. �Vikram�had hurled a shoe at Chief Minister Parkash Badal during a rally held recently.

He said SAD (B) government was terrorizing the unemployed youth of the state by playing such dirty tricks. �Phoolka added that by doing so, State Government was muffling the genuine voice of the people of Punjab.

In his letter, the lawyer turned politician said that Vikram Singh was taken into custody by the Khanna police on August 15 under Sections 101 and 151 of the Criminal Procedure Code. �Both of these offences are bailable. When the alleged accused was ready to furnish the bail bond, he should have been released. But the police kept him in custody the whole night and the next day registered another case against him under Sections 332, 353, 355, 506 and 186 of the IPC,� he alleged.
