:datline:Paramjit Sarna, former president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (DSGMC), has leveled allegations against former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for contributing loss of Congress in recently held Lok Sabha elections. He criticized Manmohan Singh’s soft corner approach toward Badals.
Sarna who is a Congress supporter, stated that “it was only because of the weakness of Manmohan Singh and his attitude to agree to whims and fancies of Badals that Congress was unable to secure seats in Punjab.”
Sarna claimed that his party has been handed over the responsibility of restoring and maintaining Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore by the Gurdwara committee in Pakistan, adding, “We will be performing regular seva there from now onwards.”
He also blamed SGPC president Avtar Makkar in Punjab for malfunctioning. “SGPC are managing the Gurdwaras poorly and are not doing a good job of maintaining Gurdwaras in Punjab. On the other hand, those who don’t come under SGPC’s control are being managed in a better way,” he said.
