

:dateline:The Punjab State Government has released details of Punjabis that have been kidnapped in Iraq. �The list includes details of 52 persons. �Sikh24 has learned that the Punjab Chief Minister, Parkash Badal, has established contact with the Iraqi Prime Minister. �Badal raised concern for the safety of Punjabis that have been abducted by the ISIS militants. �Although Badal has contacted Iraq Chief Minister, what actions can be taken in this turmoil is not yet known.
The Iraqi Foreign Ministry has�been able to determine the location where these abducted Punjabis�are being held captive with workers of a few other nationalities. �This information has not been disclosed to the public however. �Official Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of India, Syed Akbaruddin, has stated that the Indian Government is aware of the location, however it is not able to disclose this sensitive information.
Some families have alleged that�they have been able to establish contact with their relatives in Iraq, however they face a dilemma as their passports�are in possession of their employers.�
