“Anti-Sikh forces” are on the prowl and waiting for an opportunity to tarnish the image of the SGPC, which is the premier body of all Sikhs across the globe”, he alleged, adding that the sole intention of Congress is to interfere in the Gurdwara affairs through people like Jagdish Singh Jhinda and Deedar Singh Nalvi.

Makkar said that Sikhs will not allow any sort of change in the current set-up of the SGPC at any cost. He said the management of historic Gurdwaras in Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh have been running smoothly in the hands of SGPC for many years.
