Ever since the June 1984 Indian Army, attack on Harmandir Sahib, (Golden Temple) the Indian media along with Indian government, has been shouting, at the top of their voice, that the attack was a sudden one, that was planned only 4 – 5 days before the 3rd of June, 1984.
Now, with the revelation of new documents in UK, it is very clear that both the Indian government and media are liars, and what they say, and publish, should not be believed. It’s an old habit with them which is difficult to leave!
Along with this, the Indian media and government have also published widely as well, that Sant Jarnail Singhji Khalsa Bhindrawale and his followers were heavily equipped with all the latest weaponry in order to “kill the Indian army like mosquitoes”. The only part of this sentence which is true is that the Indian army personnel killed, were like a horde mosquitoes!
In fact, people ask Sikhs a lot of questions about what when on and why. I will answer several questions here as we Sikhs should be very thorough in our answers, because Gangoos are smart and know very well how to play around with the words, whereas we Sikhs are straight forward in our dealings and conversations.
Why were Sant Jarnail Singhji Khalsa Bhindrawale and his followers were equipped with arms?
Just to let everybody know, Sikhs have 10 bodily gurus and 11th is our holy book ‘Guru Granth Sahibji’.
The attack date selected by Indian army to storm the Golden Temple was the same day/date when our 5th Guru Arjan Devji was tortured to death achieved and martyrdom at the hands of Mughals, 380 years back.
After that, our 6th Guru Hargobind Sahibji started the tradition that Sikhs should have two swords with them to represent Miri (temporal power)and Piri (spiritual power).
Since the beginning of that tradition, Sikhs have kept themselves armed, in old days with swords and in recent times with Guns (single, or double, barrel). Sant Jarnail Singhji, and his followers, only followed the footsteps of our beloved 6th Guru, and nothing else.
People who met Sant Jarnail Singhji Khalsa Bhindrawale say that apart from the sword Santji had an Indian government issued revolver license and he had revolver which he always carried with him. Please note, the same Indian government also issued his followers weapon licenses. In one of his speeches, he [Bhindrawale] says that, “government has started cancelling his, and his followers, arm licenses, and he has to return the arms, because they are illegal now.”
But why were weapons in the Golden Temple?
Very few people are aware that within same the Colden Temple Complex is both the Golden Temple (Spiritual Center of Sikhs) and Akal Takht (Political Center of Sikhs). Sant Jarnail Singhji was the 14th head [in the lineage of] a 250 year old institution (Taksal) who acted as the political voice of Sikhs. All other Sikh leaders were then, and are now, nothing but bunch of buffoons!
Santji never resided inside the Golden Temple (spiritual Center). He was [stationed]in the political building of Sikhs i.e. Akal Takht. This is the same building which our 6th Guru Hargobind Sahibji built for Sikh political discussions and also considered as the Army headquarters. What we Sikhs have failed to understand is that Akal Takht is more than a Gurdwara building for Sikhs. Trust me; this facade has been built by none other Indian media who continuously publish [stories] that ‘Golden Temple is a holy place’ so why were armed Sikhs there!
How come such bloody battle happened between Sikhs and the Indian Army?
One companion, and friend, of Santji, was Major General Shabeg Singh (Ex Indian Army). He is credited with liberating Bangladesh from Pakistan and was the key person in ‘Mukti Bhani’ operation. He even participated in 1971 Indo-Pak war.
There are so many articles on internet which have been painted with false [statements] on top of the truth i.e. that Akal Takht, or other buildings, were fortified [with weaponry].

I can assure you that nothing of this sort happened. (There are so many witnesses who regularly visited Golden temple in the end week of May 1984, and they have reported that nothing similar to [weaponry] fortification was seen there. Though everybody was aware something bad was about to happen because of the uneasiness and tense nature of the Indian government).
If you look at the structure of Akal Takht you will see that it has a height of close to 50 meters (165 feet). Similar height structures underthe charge of army strategists like Major General Shabeg Singh provided the advantage to Singhs who fought wars for the Indian army. In one of the statements made by KS Brar (yes, the war criminal,) he mentioned that “our jawans were getting killed like flies and were not able to target any of the opponents”.
Why does the Indian media keep reporting that Sikhs were armed with latest weapons?
There are eyewitnesses as well as proofs that once the killings were done, the Indian army started throwing their own hi-tech arms here, and there, around the golden temple complex, and later published in the media that these were owned by Santji, and his followers.
Now, imagine the brutality of the Indian army. They killed pilgrims by tying their hands together with their ‘Turbans’, and by shooting them in the head. Why Indian Army killed pilgrims? Because, Indian army casualties were larger in number then their opponents. If that report would have come out, then Indian army would have suffered insult. There are many other aspects which are hidden under the false facade of Indian government, we have to bring them out and show the truth to the general public.
Propaganda is all nothing but a heap of lies built by Indian government, and media, to appease the majority Hindu population of India. We Sikhs should be cautious and know the real facts behind the [false] stories prepared by the Indian media and government.
